An Observation Of Japanese Fashion
by Style with Sasha
I know the Japanese have an unusual approach to fashion. If I were to describe it in a word, I would say ‘fearless’. Before visiting Japan, I wondered if I would see people walking the streets in unpredictable, unexpected combination of trends and styles. Within a few hours of arriving, I wasn’t disappointed with what I saw.

“Don’t worry! Within walking distance from your hotel, there are many places where you can go to shop!” said our tour guide when we arrived in Osaka. She wasn’t joking.

Siam Paragon

The only shopping centre I visited while shooting my documentary in Thailand was Siam Paragon. This huge mall has everything you would expect from a modern shopping centre and the range of international designer labels is amazing.

Chatuchak Market is one of the main tourist shopping destinations in Bangkok ... certainly every tourist brochure I read recommends a visit to this market. But you have to remember that it is only open on weekends.
Suan Lum Night Bazaar, Bangkok

The Suan Lum Night Bazaar in Bangkok, Thailand is open every night. Its stalls are divided into four blocks and at one end is an area selling all kinds of modern furniture and lights. If you have just bought a new home, this would be a great place to come to and have a look at what they have to offer.
Shopping in Bali

Bali is always a popular place to shop, and I think this is because of the affordable exchange rate. You can find many clothes and homeware items at affordable prices and on top of that, you can still bargain!
Spitalfields Market

I know London has a variety of stores in places like Oxford St. and Knightsbridge, but I really wanted to find some unusual items ... things you couldn't find anywhere else. When I asked around, friends recommended that I go to Spitalfields Market.

Despite having a fulltime job, Toy Boy plays with his, er, toys "20 hours a day". He also ventures outdoors during the weekend for some sun and to look at the trees. Claims to have a girlfriend, but then again, she might be "a virtual character or something".
